Love, it's in the air..it's everywhere.

A wedding. It is definitely something you don't see everyday, it is one of those special moments where time stops. Only love exists. Perhaps I describe it in this way as I admittedly just attended my very first, spectacular wedding celebration! I am also biased to the beauty of the bride and groom..friends that I have come to know in recent years and now have humbly witnessed them get #lghitched.

On a stunning Queensland winter's day at the majestic yet intimate Glengariff Historic Estate my first impression was that I had just walked onto the set of the finale of The Bachelor. The scenery did not seem believable! An audible gasp and almost immediate tear to the eye came over the near one hundred guests as Lina Kim (now Lina Kim-Wheatstone), linked to her proud father, appeared from the shadows. The petite doll-like bride carries herself with true joy, elegance and elation as she glides closer to her anxious awaiting groom. Guy Wheatstone stands alongside his british brother and closest friends. The sun is shining and before we know it the young couple have signed a legal document that now binds them together for life. Ultimately it is inspiring and I can't help but turn to my partner and paint a hypothetical picture of us sharing our fairytale in years to come..

The celebrations fly by but I try to take everything in. One of my favourite 'quirks' of the day was the thoughtful Hangover Aid placed in front of our assigned seats which included an array of amusing sunglasses, an eclipse mint, panadol (winning) and, even better, two Lindt balls for those after party cravings! Another highlight was the Photo Booth available throughout the entire reception to make those desired visual memories totally fun and outrageous. The speeches, notably Lina's gracious father who evidently couldn't be more proud of his only daughter, were just the right amount of poised and light hearted. To no ones surprise, as both the bride and groom are professional ballet dancers, the first dance captivated our hearts and once again we were victims to our most vulnerable emotions. A subtle Wishing Well is placed at the exit for those wishing to leap frog the newlyweds into their new lives together and a humorous 'advice' notebook which the majority of guests did not take too seriously in the most R-rated way. A marvelous day of beauty and love and one that I will forever cherish as taking my wedding virginity..what a first it was!
